A hit at Writers Week in 2004, Israeli writer Etgar Keret has gone on to be a frequent contributor to The New Yorker and US radio show This American Life. His latest book, The Seven Good Years, covers the time between the birth of his son and the death of his father.

He will talk about the memoir – and why it won’t be published in Israel – with Damien Wilkins, novelist and director of Victoria University of Wellington’s International Institute of Modern Letters.
