We look to France for some of the most creative, provocative (often risqué) and intellectual writing of our time. Writers Nicolas Fargues and Muriel Barbery are a mix of old and new France, combining philosophy with everyday French life to produce novels that are also astute social commentaries. They join Andrew Johnston, a New Zealand journalist and poet who has lived in France for 19 years, for a conversation that will appeal to the Francophile in all of us.
